Overview

Our integrated circuits and reference designs will help jumpstart your handheld electronic fund transfer (EFT) transaction terminal project through a secure processor, a small and efficient battery management system and low-power wireless and wired interfaces according to your needs.

Design requirements

Portable point-of-sale (POS) systems require:

  • Sitara ARM processors enable cryptography, secure boot, tamper protection, secure storage and more.
  • Low-power RF, RFID and NFC chipsets that allow contactless payment.
  • Highly-integrated PMICs to regulate core, memory and IO power and a small and efficient battery management system.
  • Stepper motor driver to control the thermal printer which prints the fiscal receipt.
