Overview

Our integrated circuits and reference designs will help you jumpstart your barcode scanner design through an image interface and processor able to capture and parse the universal product code, an efficient power management design and low-power wireless and wired interfaces according to your needs.

Design requirements

Modern barcode scanner designs require:

  • The Arm® Cortex®-A8 core fully supports the processing requirements of the scanning algorithm.
  • PMIC or discrete power solutions provide the barcode scanner with a solution to generate and regulate core, memory and IO power.
  • Bluetooth, RS-232 and USB are the protocols used to communicate with the host.
